Spiritual Guidance
A chronicle of my quest and the guidance I found.
I have always been searching for knowledge of life after death, how to communicate with God and other spiritual entities, and what the metaphysical universe is. My first real guidance came from a book I just happened to see in my local mall bookstore in 1991. This book’s cover said it contained the secrets of communicating with God and the universe. I started to read this book which introduced me to Theosophy, an ideology established on mystical insights into the nature of God and the soul, which began in New York City circa 1875 of which Helena Petrovna Blavatsky is one of the original architects. Not what I expected, I chanced upon some particularly engrossing reading. It opened my mind to the possibility that there was more to me than just my physical body and that the real me was made up of nonphysical matter, which is generally called our “soul” or “spirit.” However, this book did not dispense all the spiritual guidance I was searching for.
Continuing my quest for more spiritual guidance I searched in the library of the local state university where I looked up subjects like “life after death.” I looked through many books and came across a book titled Journeys out of the Body by Robert A. Monroe. Inside this book I found accounts of leaving the physical body. This opened my mind further and with this new found knowledge, I began believing in the possibility that I was not just a physical body, but much more and I exist independent of my body and am nonphysical form of energy. This book fascinated me and I began to study and to reread Monroe’s accounts of his our of body experiences. Monroe stated that he was certain through his personal experiences that he possessed a second body not physical which remained near to his physical body and there was a third body which he used to explore throughout the nonphysical reams and there was still another body, a formless spirit body he discovered as he advanced in his travels outside of his body. He encountered entities in his out of body state that were spiritual energy beings and communicated with them regularly obtaining a lot of guidance from these nonphysical beings.
Hungry for more spiritual guidance, I decided to find out all I could about Robert A. Monroe. I learned that he had established a non-profit center which he called the Monroe Institute for the purpose of exploring human consciousness. This institute is a de facto university of spiritual guidance and offers many programs that explore and expand human consciousness. Monroe also has authored two more books Far Journeys and Ultimate Journey. I found both of these books to be indispensable spiritual guidance. I reread them often and I highly recommend them to anyone searching for guidance.

In my ongoing quest for spiritual guidance I hope to find Known’s as defined by Robert A. Monroe.
Known: What has become an absolute fact to an individual, but not necessarily to the culture. Generally speaking, it should take at least three or more verifications to produce a Known. When this testing is completed, the Known can be added into Overview thinking.
For me personally, I have obtained the most spiritual guidance from the trilogy of books written by Robert. A. Monroe. Do you feel like you have been led to this site by an unseen force? This is a good question to ask yourself as you start your search for the truth. I hope you will find the resources to help you with your own ongoing search for spiritual guidance on this site. Don’t get stuck by your own fears and desires, or by rules that others have imposed. Keep an open mind in all of your research. As for me, I am hoping to attain the honor of being accepted as an apprentice of one of the Masters of the Wisdom. |
